New Member Announcement!
We are pleased to welcome John Metcalfe to the team! John is a member of the
Houston RX-7 club and responded to an email Colin posted on the club's email
list. John did a fabulous job as the crew cheif for the weekend and we look
forward to the next race with him. Thanks, John!!
6-Hour Enduro! :
Our biggest race of the year. Colin, Suzie, and Erik shared the driving duties,
with Colin turning the quickest time in qualifying, which was third in class.
The top 3 qualifyiers in ITS were within a second of each other.
Colin started the race and jumped out into an early lead by lap 2 and stayed out front for about 10 laps or so. He then noticed the temperature gauge creeping up and had to eventually come into the pits. A faulty radiator cap cost the team 30 minutes of down time! The new radiator cap worked great, but we think that it's pressure rating wasn't high enough and we kept loosing water into the catch tank all day. We the car with water several times.
With all that, the car did last the whole race (barely) and we were able to squeek out a 4th place finish.
